Clarkson University and Clinton Community College team up on jobs program
Two New York colleges are joining forces.
Clarkson University of Potsdam, New York is pairing up with Clinton Community College's Advanced Manufacturing Program. At a luncheon Wednesday community leaders heard from speakers who say this might open doors to future jobs in this area and across the nation.
"Partnering with a research unviversity like Clarkson will make a big difference in terms of who we're going to attract and the kinds of workers that will be apart of it. This is ground breaking, exciting," said Ray DiPasquale, Clinton Community College's president.
They say this is significant because now they can offer more levels of education on advanced manufacturing, from certificates to Ph.Ds.
