Colchester Police investigate threat at high school
Colchester Police are investigating a possible threat to the high school.
Police say they were made aware of a possible threat Monday afternoon after the school day ended. In a
Monday night, the school district says they "exercised extreme diligence" in monitoring the threat.
Police say they have identified a person of interest. Colchester Police tell WCAX News there will be an increased police presence at the school Tuesday, but they would not describe the possible threat.
The threat comes on the heels of the deadly shooting in Florida last week, and the arrest of a Poultney teen last Thursday after he allegedly made threats against Fair Haven Union High School.
Students who need support are encouraged to stop by the Colchester guidance office.
