Cost-free testing, treatment for COVID-19

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont patients won't have to pay for COVID-19 testing or treatment.

Wednesday, Gov. Phil Scott and the Department of Financial Regulation announced that commercial insurers in Vermont must waive co-pays, coinsurance and deductibles for the diagnosis and treatment of the coronavirus.

That move is retroactive to March 13, the date that Governor Scott declared the State of Emergency.
