Cray to step down as head of Vt. National Guard

COLCHESTER, Vt. (WCAX) The head of the Vermont National Guard is stepping down next year.

Maj. Gen. Steven Cray took the helm in 2013.

The Guard tells us Cray will leave the military for civilian life in February.

The Legislature appoints Vermont's adjutant general. So far, two candidates are expected to lobby for the post.
