Crews fight fire at Williston recycling facility

A fire broke out at a recycling facility in Williston late Tuesday afternoon.

Someone spotted smoke coming out of the Materials Recovery Facility of MRF where the Chittenden Solid Waste District sorts its recycling.

The fire was in an area where cardboard is stored.

Firefighters thought they had all the hot spots out by about 6 p.m. and they were working to make sure the fire doesn't reignite.
