Crews working to fix Canaan water supply

CANAAN, N.H. (AP) Crews in Canaan, New Hampshire, have found the source of a major leak in the water supply.

WMUR-TV reports crews on Sunday used an acoustic leak detection system to find the leak in a pipe that runs under Route 4. They planned to start repairs Monday.

Water flow has been reduced in some areas. Residents were asked to limit their use.

The leak was first discovered Friday when the town's water system lost thousands of gallons.

Firefighters on Sunday refilled tanks at the town's treatment facility after drawing water directly from Canaan Street Lake.
