Del Pozo to take leave of absence

Burlington's police chief is taking a leave of absence.
Police say Chief Brandon del Pozo is on family and medical leave of absence for an undetermined time. Deputy Police Chief Jan Wright will serve as acting chief of police.
Del Pozo missed some time last year after suffering a head injury and broken bones in june bicycle accident in the Adirondacks. There was no immediate information about what prompted Friday's announcement.
