DOVER, Vt. (AP) The Vermont town of Dover is planning a new collaborative community development program and is seeking volunteers.

Economic Development Director Steve Neratko says he is looking for volunteers to join 10 working groups, each with specific focuses on topics like beautification, events and housing. The Brattleboro Reformer reports groups will review "any relevant plans" with an eye toward helping Neratko and the Dover Select Board as they prioritize projects for the town.

Local business owner and future member of the beautification working group Sandy MacDougall says this was the third summer in a row where local businesses saw a decrease in business.
