Employees at sex assault crisis center resign

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Employees at a sex assault crisis center in Chittenden County have officially resigned.

We told you last month that employees at HOPE Works stopped showing up to work, alleging the executive director and board of directors were ill-equipped to carry out the mission of the organization.

An interim executive director was appointed while an internal investigation is being done.

Now, we've learned the staff members formally resigned.

A spokeswoman for HOPE Works says the organization has hired four interim staffers and is still looking for more.
