Flooding study hosts public meetings in New York and Vermont

WHALLONSBURG, N.Y. (WCAX) You're invited to a discussion on how to stop flooding in the Lake Champlain-Richelieu River basin.

The International Lake Champlain-Richelieu River Study Board is holding public meetings this week in New York and Vermont.

The Canadian-U.S. study group will be meeting Thursday in Whallonsburg Grange Hall in Essex, New York.

Another meeting is Friday night at the Double Tree in South Burlington, Vermont.

We're told at the meeting, experts will be sharing studies and possible solutions to flooding issues along with getting feedback.
