Former NH cop sentenced for falsifying records

CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) A plea deal for a former New Hampshire cop accused of falsifying records.

It's 100 hours of community service for Mark Burch, 32, of Claremont, who used to work for the Claremont Police Department.

Burch pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge.

As part of his plea agreement, he can never again work in law enforcement in New Hampshire.

Investigators say that in 2018, Claremont Police Sgt. Ian Kibbe lied about where he found a gun in a person's home and Burch went along with it. Kibbe went to jail.
