NEW YORK (CBS) Now that midterms have come and gone, speculation is ramping up about who will challenge President Trump in 2020.
Thursday, "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert asked New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand about the possibility of a run.
Gillibrand said she will give the race "a long, hard thought of consideration."
That's the closest the Democrat has come to saying she's considering a presidential run, though speculation of a possible run has been swirling around her for a long time.
Tuesday, Gillibrand easily won re-election to the Senate.
