Kahn believes Green Party platform resonates with North Country voters
Our campaign coverage continues in New York. We're about two and a half months away from the general election and we're following the candidates.
It's already a historic ballot in New York's 21st congressional race with all women vying for the House seat.
Our Kelly O'Brien sat down with Green Party Candidate Lynn Kahn. Kahn is focusing heavily on health care, veterans and bringing green jobs to the North Country. She also said she thinks that being with the Green Party will help her beat Democratic Nominee Tedra Cobb and Incumbent Elise Stefanik because her party's platform will resonate with North Country voters.
"I mean people do care about each other in this enormous respect for our environment. It's so beautiful here and we are blessed with just clean air, clean water, beautiful land, right by lots of lakes and rivers and ponds. And we need to take care of it, we need to make it easier for the rest of the country to take care of some of these issues," Kahn said.
Kahn also ran as an independent candidate in the 2016 presidential election.
