LG TV Instructions

These instructions cover many, but not all, LG TVs.

Before you start, be sure to use the correct remote. In this case, the key buttons to look for on the remote are the “Settings” button (in most cases this is represented by a gear symbol on the button), the directional arrows (up, down, left, right) and the “OK” button, which is usually in the middle of the directional buttons. Most often the button literally says “OK,” but in some cases the button has no marking but is still located in the center of the directional buttons. You will use these buttons as needed to navigate to and then select different options on screen. In general, use the “OK” button to select each option.

Most LG TVs call their rescan function "Auto Tuning" or "Channel Tuning"

1. Select "Settings" on your remote. If you have a Smart TV, you will need to go into your full options menu, not the quick menu that appears on the right side.

2. Choose the "Channels" menu. (The exact menu name may differ based on your model)

3. Select "Auto Tuning"

Be patient during the scan, which could take up to three minutes. When the scan is complete, you should see your channels.
