Last day to reserve tickets for 'Escape at Dannemora'

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) This is the last day you can reserve your tickets to see the North Country in the spotlight.

"Escape at Dannemora," a Showtime miniseries directed by Ben Stiller, will have an advance screening at the Cumberland 12 theater in Plattsburgh.

The show chronicles the infamous escape and three-week manhunt after the prison break at the Clinton Correctional Facility in 2015.

Showtime has invited members of the community to the free screening. They are estimating 800-1,000 seats. Guests will get free popcorn and soda.

"Ben will definitely be here is what we've been told. He's going to do an intro before all the showings. The showings are only an hour, it's the first episode of the series and, of course, it premieres that Sunday following our premiere. But it will be cool to have him here and see what he has to say to everybody," said Craig Cathers of the Cumberland 12.

You must RSVP via email for a ticket. Don't call the theater, they have no access to tickets. After applying for your ticket, Showtime will send you a confirmation email later in the week. The screening is Thu., Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m.

Here is some additional information regarding the RSVP process shared first with WCAX News by the producers of "Escape of Dannemora:"
