The lawyer for one of the former counselors at a youth detention center in New Hampshire denies allegations that he repeatedly raped a juvenile at the center in the 1990s.

Hillsborough County grand jury indictments issued July 19 and made public Thursday charge Jeffrey Buskey, 52, of Boston, with 56 counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. Stephen Murphy, 50, of Danvers, Massachusetts, faces 26 counts of the same crime.

The lawyer for the unidentified victim said his client endured "horrific abuse" and the attorney general's office has launched an investigation into the Sununu Youth Services Center detention facility.

Murphy's attorney Bruce Kenna said Friday that his client denies all the charges. He said Murphy doesn't know who the victim is, adding that he denies the allegations or "anything like them regarding anybody no matter who the accuser might be or when it took place."
