Students across the world are skipping class Friday to protest global warming, that includes students across the region.
The coordinated "school strike" was inspired by a 16-year-old Swedish activist.
The protests are scheduled in about 100 countries, from New Zealand to the United States to send a message that governments are failing to address climate change.
In Vermont, students in Montpelier, Windsor and Woodstock are expected to participate.
