BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) September is World Alzheimer's Month. It's aimed at raising awareness and to support people affected by the disease.
There have been marches and walks all over Vermont for the cause. Another is planned for Sunday in White River Junction.
The Alzheimer's Association of Vermont says 13,000 people are diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the state. By 2025, that number could grow by more than 30 percent to 17,000.
A big question for some is when to step in to take over a family member's finances when they may not be able to do it themselves anymore.
