Middlebury massage therapist picks up additional voyeurism charges
Middlebury Police have charged a local massage therapist with more than two dozen additional charges of allegedly secretly videotaping customers.
Police say Roger Schmidt, 53, was arraigned Monday on 30 additional counts following the continued investigation of his business, Rogers Relaxing Massage Therapy.
Schmidt was initially charged in April with four counts of voyeurism after complaints filed by a customer. Police say a court-authorized search of the business and Schmidt's home found several hidden cameras and images that appear to have been taken without consent or knowledge of the customers involved.
Police continue to investigate and say there are 25 video files taken between 2016-2018 of massage clients who have still not been identified.
