NY Senate asks farmers: How can we help your bottom line?
Members of the New York state Senate want to hear from farmers about ways the state can help their industry.
The Senate's Standing Committee on Agriculture is scheduled to meet Tuesday in Albany to gather input from farmers and others involved in the agricultural industry about how the state can directly improve their bottom line.
The ideas are likely to pop up in the 2018 legislative session, which begins in January.
Agriculture remains New York state's leading industry.
