BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Customers can now shop at the the new City Market off Pine Street.
The grand opening won't be until spring, but customers are already buzzing about the new location. One of the new design features is space, both in the parking lot and in the store. And many people say they are excited for the convenience of not having to go downtown.
"I live in the South End and I'm really tired of trying to park at the downtown store and trying to avoid busy hours there. I'm thrilled that it's open," said shopper Nancy Knox.
"i've been going to the original downtown location my whole life with my parents. Coming here -- it's closer to home. It's pretty cool to have a closer location where it's still -- we're getting the same awesome service," said shopper Dan Wagner.
City Market officials told us they will continue the same programs they have at the downtown location. They also say as they get settled in, they will add more.
