Police say they caught a burglar in the act at Burlington's Waterfront Diving Center Tuesday night.
Investigators say an alarm at the diving center went off. When officers arrived, they saw a broken open window and a man inside. They arrested Jeffrey Leduc but not before he allegedly tried to flee the building. Police say he had two knives, burglary tools, drug paraphernalia and property from the store valued at more than $4,000.
Leduc was charged with burglary and resisting arrest. Police say Leduc, 31, of Burlington, has 20 prior misdemeanor charges, eight prior felony charges and 27 failures to appear in court.
