Police: Strangers entered Vt. school, harassed students

VERGENNES, Vt. (WCAX) Police say strangers walked into a Vermont high school Thursday where they pretended to be exchange students and harassed young women.

Investigators say two young men from Job Corps found a door ajar at Vergennes Union High School and walked inside. They allegedly went into a classroom and even hugged a girl. Police say later the boys tracked down the same girl and tried to talk to her again. The boys also allegedly harassed a second girl. Police say that's when a male student saw what was going on and told the men to leave.

Vergennes Police Chief George Merkel tells WCAX News they issued no-trespass orders against the two men but nothing they did was criminal. He also says they are being kicked out of Job Corps.
