Missing Brattleboro woman found

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) Police say a missing Brattleboro woman has been found.

Patricia Sullivan, 78, disappeared from her home on Black Mountain Road Thursday morning. Police launched a search because Sullivan has dementia.

At about 2:30 p.m., a police officer found Sullivan laying behind a house near a wooded area about a mile from her home. It appeared she had been there for some time, but police say she was conscious and able to speak with the officer. She was taken to the hospital in Brattleboro. Police say no further information will be released about her condition.

Brattleboro Police thanked members of the public for their help and tips. They also thanked agencies that assisted in the search for Sullivan including Brattleboro Fire, Vermont State Police, New England K-9 Search and Rescue, and Chester Police.
