An evacuation and a mystery in Alburgh Monday.
Firefighters tell us villagers started smelling propane around 7:30 a.m. The pre-K through eighth-grade school was evacuated as a precaution.
First responders tested for elevated gas levels all over the village. They even went door to door within a 1-mile radius. They found nothing. They still don't know where the smell came from but firefighters tell us it could have come from a passing truck or rail car.
