A military veteran whose Trump flag was torn down and burned on his Burlington lawn will get a new flag-- courtesy of the president's son.

Gus Klein said he found the destroyed Trump 2020 flag on his porch Sunday morning. The military veteran who served in Afghanistan said he felt targeted.

"I was in bed sleeping with my family and I don't know if this flag was on fire when they threw it on my front porch. I can assume it wasn't-- but if it was-- that's not right at all," Klein told WCAX News Sunday.

Eric Trump apparently learned about what happened to Klein. Wednesday, Trump tweeted: "Gus, Thank you so much for the support and thank you for your service to our country! Get us your address - a new Trump 2020 Flag will be coming your way!"

He later tweeted: "Update: Gus - Your replacement flag is in the mail. If the person is classless enough to do it again just let us know - we will send you as many replacement flags as you need!"
