BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) An armed robber who was shot by police in May and taken into custody has admitted his responsibility for three holdups.
Mark Triolo, 46, pleaded guilty to three counts of robbery last week, two of which were located in southeastern Vermont. The Brattleboro Reformer reports Triolo faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
Federal Judge Christina Reiss set June 3 for the sentencing of Triolo and ordered him held at the Southern Vermont Correctional Facility in Springfield at the end of his change of plea hearing on Thursday.
Triolo is asking that when sentenced, the judge will give him credit for acceptance of responsibility by admitting his guilt.
