WASHINGTON (WCAX) The former Obama White House counsel indicted Thursday in connection with Robert Mueller's Russia probe calls Vermont his home state.
Greg Craig is accused of making false statements and concealing material information related to work he performed for Ukraine in 2012. Craig is a prominent Washington attorney and was the first White House counsel to former President Barack Obama.
Craig is originally from Middlebury. His father, William Craig, was the chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges from 1973 to 1976 and also ran for governor, losing to Dick Snelling in the GOP primary.
Greg Craig is expected to enter a plea Friday afternoon.
