Scrap metal fire in Williston

Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire at All Metals Recycling in Williston.

The Fire Department says workers noticed smoke coming from a trailer of scrap metal and called 911. Officials are not sure what the cause of the fire was.

"It is a scrap metal trailer, but scrap metal also consists of appliances which still has plastic and insulation and any other thing they may have in it so it's still an unknown at this time," said Capt. Tim Garry of the Williston Fire Department.

Capt. Garry says workers tried using snow to control the fire until crews arrived.
