Court records show a wrongful death lawsuit against a New Hampshire nursing home brought by the estate of a resident who was killed by another resident has been settled.

The Laconia Daily Sun reports the terms of the settlement involving Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith weren't disclosed.

In June, the executors of the estate of Barbara Whittier sued Metro Health Foundation of New Hampshire Inc., which operates Golden View. The home was accused of wrongful death and medical negligence.

The 82-year-old Whittier died in March 2016 after she was assaulted by an 87-year-old male resident who suffered from Alzheimer's disease.

The attorney general's office called the death a homicide, but didn't charge the man. He was moved shortly afterward to another medical facility.
