SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. (WCAX) One of the world's top snowshoers has pleaded guilty to child endangerment.
Tanveer Hussain of India was originally charged with child sex abuse. But under a deal, Hussain pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and the felony charge was dismissed.
Hussain was in Saranac Lake in February for the World Snowshoe Championships. While there, he was accused of kissing and touching a 12-year-old girl. He denied the charges but later admitted to child endangerment.
