The state is appealing the termination of the Vermont Regional EB-5 Center.
Wednesday, the state formally filed an appeal with the federal government.
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services informed them back in July that the state's center was shutting down.
The appeal advocates for an orderly wind down for the regional center to protect foreign investors whose immigration status remains unresolved.
