State employees at the St. Albans prison and the surge facility are getting temporary raises.

They will get 20% pay increases for working in facilities with active COVID-19 infections.

This is on top of the $1.50 an hour raises for employees at all of Vermont's prisons and psychiatric facilities.

State police are also getting that $1.50 an hour bump which will stay in effect for five weeks.
