BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont's top game warden is accused of violating hunting rules and now some critics say there is a cover-up.
Col. Jason Batchelder oversees the state's 22 game wardens.
One year ago, Batchelder took a black bear during hunting season. Rules require hunters to extract a tooth and submit it to the state within 48 hours of killing a bear. But Batchelder did not do that.
Katie Jickling wrote about it in Seven Days and about the people concerned over a potential cover-up. She sat down with our Galen Ettlin to talk about what she learned. Watch the video for the full interview.
