Overturned grain truck causes 5-hour road closure in Fairfax

FAIRFAX, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont Route 104A is open again after a grain truck overturned in Fairfax Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on Skunk Hill Road. Vermont State Police say the truck operated by Phoenix Feeds & Nutrition went off the road and rolled down a 20-foot embankment. The driver, Chad Paquin, 45, of Addison, was not injured.

Police say speed and road conditions contributed to the crash.

The road was completely closed for nearly six hours. The company has promised to clean up the spilled cargo.
