Two new measles cases reported in Montreal

MONTREAL, Quebec (WCAX) Two new measles cases have been reported in Montreal, causing public health officials there to scramble to contain the spread of the virus.

The two cases are linked to another case which the agency learned of earlier this month.

The region's public health authority estimates up to 200 people may have been exposed to a person with the measles over three days.

U.S. health officials say this year's count of measles cases has surpassed 800, a growing tally that is already the nation's highest in 25 years.
