The University of Vermont is taking steps to secure a reported data breach.
UVM officials announced Thursday that the breach could lead to malicious use of UVM Net ID usernames and passwords. Right now, they say they don't believe personal information was compromised, but they're requiring everyone to change their passwords.
University officials say their systems caught the intrusion early, which helped them respond faster.
