Burlington, Vt. (WCAX) Two Vermonters were recently named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 in Manufacturing.
26 year old Corinne Prevot is the founder of Skida Headwear and Accessories. She started Skida 10 years ago while attending Burke Mountain Academy.
"I was pretty blown away to be honest," Prevost said. "I'm really flattered and honored and it feels like a really big achievement." "It's been a lot of hard work to get here and a lot of ups and downs, but it's very motivating to keep going and see where it can go."
"She becomes a model for young females in Vermont who think of themselves as being a female founder or working in advanced manufacturing which isn't necessarily a viable career path that young females would think of," Knight said.
The other Vermonter to make the list is Tyler McNaney, the 25-year-old Founder of Filabot, a Barre based company that converts plastics into filament for use in 3D printing.
