Vermont joins states suing over relaxed EPA enforcement

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont has joined a coalition of states suing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The suit challenges an EPA policy under which the agency will not enforce monitoring and reporting requirements due to COVID-19.

Vermont Attorney General T.J. Donovan says the policy is overly broad, lacks transparency and accountability, and will result in more pollution and negative public health impacts.
