Vermont jury trials face further delays

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) The Vermont Supreme Court has extended the state's judicial emergency through September first, but is resuming non-emergency hearings in June.

Under the revised order, officials say jury criminal trials must wait until September and jury civil cases are suspended until January 2021.

Attorneys suffering financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be allowed to defer relicensing fees until September.
