BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) A group of senior engineering students at the University of Vermont are working directly with NASA.

Six students were selected to participate in the highly competitive eXploration Systems and Habitation 2018 Academic Innovation Challenge. They just returned from the West Coast where they worked to help NASA prepare for a mission that will send rovers to the poles of the moon to mine for water ice.

Engineering students Liz Barrett and Thomas Durivage joined our Eva McKend to talk about the project. Watch the video for the full interview.
