Vermont swaps Columbus Day for Indigenous Peoples' Day

Your calendar may have the second Monday in October labeled as Columbus Day, but that's not true in Vermont.

For three years, the state has celebrated Indigenous Peoples' Day instead of the federally labeled Columbus Day. Now Vermont has officially abolished Columbus Day.
