Washington County prosecutor's law license suspended
Washington County State's Attorney Scott Williams' law license is now suspended.
The Vermont Supreme Court issued that order Monday. It states that Williams and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel asked for disability inactive status but it's not clear why.
According to court paperwork, the order was filed "due to a medical condition that currently incapacitates respondent from practicing the law."
Williams is reportedly receiving treatment at the Brattleboro Retreat.
He can apply for reinstatement every two weeks. Deputy State's Attorney Kristin Gozzi is handling cases in his absence.
