Woman finishes 100-mile swim across Lake Champlain
It took her 67 hours, but she did it. Sarah Thomas, the 35-year-old from Colorado, officially completed her 100-mile swim across Lake Champlain.
Thomas swam down Lake Champlain and swam around an island near Charlotte Thursday morning. She finished around 3:30 a.m.
"Her goal was to see how hard she could push herself and I think that she accomplished that. She said that she could've done some more swimming but she didn't think that she could stay up," said Becky Baxter, Thomas' mom.
Once she gets a lot of sleep, good food and a good shower, her mom says she's sure her daughter has plans for another big swim somewhere else.
