Police say they do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman who was found partially on the ice on Lake Champlain.
New York State Police say the body of Ruth Danielson-O'Hearn, 56, of Rouses Point, was found off Stony Point Road in Rouses Point at about 8 a.m. Tuesday. They say she was partially on the ice where the lake meets the road.
Investigators say they do not suspect foul play and Danielson-O'Hearn was known to frequently walk in the area where her body was found.
Stony Point Road was closed Tuesday morning while police and forensics teams investigated. It reopened around 3 p.m.
Police and the coroner are continuing to investigate the cause of death.
