HINESBURG, Vt. (WCAX) The CVU girls lacrosse team is heading back to the D-1 championship game for the first time since 2005 after taking down South Burlington 13-7 Wednesday afternoon in Hinesburg.
The top-seeded Redhawks took a 6-3 lead into the break and stretched it to 12-4 before coasting to the victory.
CVU will face defending champion and third seed Middlebury Friday evening at UVM's Virtue Field. The Tigers defeated Brattleboro 7-6 on the road. The championship game will be played at 5 p.m.
