Connor Inducted into NECBA Hall of Fame

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Ryan Connor was a four-year star for the Vermont Club Baseball team, wracking up more than 20 wins in the New England Club Baseball Association as a Catamount pitcher while also earning a degree in mechanical engineering. For his success, Connor was recently selected for induction in the NECBA Hall of Fame, and was honored prior to his former team's doubleheader with Holy Cross Sunday at Centennial Field.

A native of St. Albans and a BFA grad, Connor grew up with the dream of playing baseball for UVM's varsity team before the program was discontinued after the 2009 season. He hopes that his success, and that of the club team over its 8 year existence, shows that there is a fertile recruiting ground in the state and that a varsity team could still excel at UVM.
