At number three from Saturday, the New Hampshire girls took down Vermont in the Make-A-Wish HockeyClassic at Gutterson with a pair of locals making a big impact. Hannah Curtis of Hanover scored the go-ahead goal and Lebanon's Julia Tibbits had the eventual game winner in the 4-2 victory.
At number two also from Saturday, Joseph Pena had a big day for the Lake Monsters. He recorded an RBI on a bases loaded walk, scored on a wild pitch, and snagged this hotshot from Jose Brizuela to prevent a run as Vermont beat Brooklyn by the final of 7-3.
And at number one, the Woodstock boys were not about to let Vermont be swept at the Gut. Trailing New Hampshire 1-0 in the second period of the boys Make-A-Wish Classic, Steven Townley got the puck off the boards and fired the wrister top shelf to even the game. Then with just 25 seconds left, Cullen McCarthy started the give and go that ended in the game winning goal. The reigning D2 boys hockey champs providing a spark, Townley and McCarthy taking the top spot in the Top 3 on 3.
