Authorities investigate Fairfax car theft

FAIRFAX, Vt. (WCAX) - Authorities are investigating a car theft in the town of Fairfax.

It happened Monday night on Old Academy Street. The Vermont State Place say someone stole a red Kia Soul with license plate FXX421, one of several attempted car thefts and break-ins in the area overnight.

They say the car was seen on the I-89 in Colchester a short time later and has not yet been found.

Anyone with information should call the state police.
