12-year-old shot after throwing snowball at car

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - A 12-year-old boy was shot multiple times after throwing a snowball at a car.

Police said they responded to the shooting on Wednesday at around 7:15 p.m. in the area of Capitol Avenue and Park Terrace in Hartford, Connecticut.

They found the boy with multiple non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police reported the boy was with an 11-year-old friend when they threw a snowball at a car.

That is when the car turned around and shot the 12-year-old multiple times, according to police.

He was taken to Connecticut Children’s for treatment.

The 11-year-old was not injured.

No arrests have been made as of Thursday. The Hartford Police Major Crimes Unit has been actively investigating the shooting.
